Edward S.
Parelhoff, M.D. is a board
certified ophthalmologist with specialized training in pediatric
ophthalmology. Raised in Baltimore, MD, he is a 1978 graduate of
Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Following an internship
in Pediatrics at University Hospital in San Diego, CA, he completed a
residency in ophthalmology at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA, Los
Angeles, CA. He completed two fellowships in Pediatric Ophthalmology
and strabismus surgery and in ophthalmic genetics. Dr. Parelhoff
holds appointments at the George Washington University School of Medicine
in the ophthalmology and child health and development departments.
He specializes in strabismus surgery for children and adults. In his
spare time he enjoys tennis and serving as umpire for his children's
baseball games. He has been in private practice since 1983.
