Michael H. Goldberg, M.D. is a board certified ophthalmologist who practices general ophthalmology for adults.  He has been in practice since 1978.   A native of Philadelphia, PA, he is a 1974 graduate of the Georgetown University School of Medicine. After an internship in Internal Medicine at the Washington Hospital Center, he completed a residency in Ophthalmology at Georgetown University where he holds an appointment as a clinical instructor. Dr. Goldberg specializes in small incision no-stitch cataract surgery as well as refractive surgery, including LASIK.

He serves on the executive board of Health for Humanity and has worked on four continents on blindness prevention projects.  In his spare time he enjoys traveling, hiking and tennis.

Edward S. Parelhoff, M.D.

Edward S. Parelhoff, M.D. is a board certified ophthalmologist with specialized training in pediatric ophthalmology.  Raised in Baltimore, MD he is a 1978 graduate of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.  Following an internship in Pediatrics at University Hospital in San Diego, CA, he completed a residency in ophthalmology at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA, Los Angeles, CA.  He completed two fellowships in Pediatric Ophthalmology and strabismus surgery and in ophthalmic genetics.  Dr.Parelhoff holds appointments at the George Washington University School of Medicine in the ophthalmology and child health and development departments.  He specializes in strabismus surgery for children and adults.  He has been in private practice since 1983.  In his spare time he enjoys travel, woodworking, photography and golf.

Judith Gadol, M.D.

Dr. Judith Gadol, MD | Ophthalmologist | Springfield | Woodbridge

Judith Gadol, M.D. is a board  certified ophthalmologist who practices general ophthalmology and ophthalmic surgery. A native of Washington, DC, she is a 1975 graduate of the University of Maryland Medical School. After an internship in internal medicine at the University of Maryland, she completed an ophthalmology residency at Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Gadol was in private practice from 1979 to 1986. She then joined Kaiser Permanente as a full-time clinical ophthalmologist until 2003 when she returned to private practice. Dr. Gadol joined our practice as a general ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon in June 2004.    Dr. Gadol is married with two children and lives in Chevy Chase, MD. In her spare time, Dr. Gadol enjoys playing with the Symphony of the Potomac.

Haresh Ailani, M.D

Dr. Haresh Ailani, MD | Ophthalmologist | Springfield | WoodbridgeHaresh Ailani, M.D is a Board-Certified general ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in Cornea and Refractive Surgery.  A native of New York City, Dr. Ailani graduated from the New York University School of Medicine in 2004.  Following a medical internship at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., he completed a residency in ophthalmology at North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System.  He went on to complete fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease at Wills Eye Institute in Philadelphia, PA.  Dr. Ailani lives with his wife in Northern Virginia and enjoys playing sports, traveling and visiting museums and theater.
